2015-A Practical Guide to Infection Control - How To Meet the Regulations

This course is designed to guide the reader in implementing infection control protocols. The California minimum standards for Infection control, Section 1005 of Divsion 10, Title 16 of the California Code of Regulations were revised in August of 2011. Licensed dental professionals are required to complete a two hour course in infection control for license renewal however, the two hour course does not provide detailed explanation on how to implement the regulations. 2015-8 Hour Infection Control - (For the Unlicensed Dental Assistant) Home Study Portion Part of Course

This course is comprised of two sessions: 4 hours of didactic instruction (home study) and 4 hours of live clinical instruction. The student must complete the 4 hour didactic course of study along with a passing grade on the written examination. The written examination is comprised of 30 questions in true-false and multiple-choice format. The student must achieve a score of 75% (23 correct answers) to pass the examination. Upon successful completion of the examination the student may generate a certificate of completion.

The student must complete a 4 hour clinical course which shall be provided live, hands on in a clinical setting in order to receive the 8 Hour Infection Control Certificate.
